Phil Neville has expressed his delight at Manchester United's first result of pre-season.
Assistant to David Moyes at Manchester United in 2013/14, Phil Neville has used Twitter to comment on his delight at the club's first win under Louis van Gaal's management.
The former United and Everton player woke to discover the 7-0 scoreline, and couldn't help express his satisfaction.
Morning -7-0 vs LA Galaxy - great start to the day!!— Philip Neville (@fizzer18) July 24, 2014
There have been conflicting reports as to whether Neville will have a role with United next season, but he is not currently on their tour in the USA.
Van Gaal has not closed the door on him, and is considering offering him a reduced role, but no working agreement has yet been found.
Instead Neville has been busy with his role as part-owner at Salford City, which he shares with other members of United's 'Class of 92'.
Whether he returns or not, Neville clearly does not appear put out Moyes's dismal campaign, and has no problem showing his affinity with United is a bond which can't be broken easily.
