The Arturo Vidal rumours continue apace on Wednesday with Chilean newspaper El Mercurio reporting that the midfielder only wants to move to one of three clubs.
Having long been linked with Manchester United, it is no surprise to see their name included. But Real Madrid and Liverpool are also said to be of interest to the 27-year-old if he does leave Juventus.
Having starred for Chile this summer, and after another outstanding campaign in Serie A, Vidal is hot property. But he will not come cheap, with the paper talking of a bid in the region of $73million, which equates to around £42.8million.
Liverpool certainly have the money following the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona, and Vidal would considerably strengthen their side – as he would any club in the world.
As for United, Ed Woodward has recently gone on record to say the money is there for a big signing and Vidal would certainly fit that category.
Of the three clubs mentioned, Real could well be the least likely candidates given their squad and the fact that they have already spent big on James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos this summer.
So if the latest report is true, it could be a straight fight between United and Liverpool. Then again, it could simply be a case of the media seeing the amount of money both clubs have at their disposal and making a story out of it.
But that may not stop fans of both clubs getting excited about the possibility…
