Romelu Lukaku has been training with RSC Anderlecht in order to get in shape for the new season.
Chelsea have plenty of tough decisions to make but with one player it is the same once again...what do they do about Romelu Lukaku?
The Belgian, who recently had an up and down World Cup with the Red Devils, is an undoubted talent. For the past two seasons the bullish striker has been at West Brom and Everton on loan - scoring a total of 33 goals during those two spells.
With that in mind, as well as Chelsea's striker problems and his likeness to former Jose Mourinho favourite Didier Drogba he looks a certain first-team member. Yet reservations remain and the player himself has openly questioned his long-term future at Stamford Bridge.
Lukaku is not yet expected back with Chelsea for first-team training - he has been given extra rest after his World Cup toils - but that has not stopped him training. In fact, as his Chelsea team-mates get ready for a pre-season game in Austria Lukaku has been in training with RSC Anderlecht, his former club.
While in some respect this attitude should be applauded Chelsea obviously wanted Lukaku to rest for a certain period of time before returning. His eagerness could be seen as keen, it could also be seen as inflammatory.
One thing for sure is that Lukaku is taking no chances. He wants to be fighting fit for the new season, regardless of his destination - which can only be a positive factor if Chelsea decide to keep him.
Lukaku is expected to return to Chelsea on the 30th July, and his future will then be decided.
