Liverpool have been active in the transfer window following the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has said that Rickie Lambert is the clubs most exciting signing so far this summer.
The Anfield club signed Lambert from Southampton for a fee of around £4million, having once had him on their books at youth level.
Fowler admits he’s excited by all of the clubs acquisitions so far, but says Lambert stands out to him.
“I'm excited by them all, but I'm really looking forward to seeing Rickie Lambert. It will mean a lot more to him,” Fowler said in a Q&A with Liverpool’s official Twitter feed.

He also said he believes the new season is looking promising for Liverpool, saying they can surprise again.
“I can see us doing well and with Brendan's set-up, like last year I think we can surprise many people.
“I always have belief. Fingers crossed we give a good account of ourselves. It will be tough but we have the players to (win the title).”
Liverpool have also signed Lambert’s former Southampton team-mate Adam Lallana, a fee that was in the region of £26 million. The Merseysider’s then added midfielder Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen and Lazar Marković from Benfica earlier this month, and are thought to be on the verge of landing Loic Remy from QPR for £8.5 million.
The sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona has helped Liverpool fund their summer recruits, with more signings still expected before the end of the transfer window in August.
Brendan Rodgers has stated his desire to bring in a left-back, but has already been out-priced by Sevilla for Alberto Moreno and Swansea for Ben Davies, who decided to join Tottenham. The question of a supplementary goalkeeper is also yet to be sorted, with Rodgers keen to provide back-up to Simon Mignolet.
