With West Brom are looking to tie up a deal for Rosenborg's Cristian Gamboa and the Costa Rican could soon be joined by Yeltsin Tejeda.
With several members of the Costa Rica World Cup squad linked to the Premier League following their astounding run to the quarter-finals, midfielder Yeltsin Tejeda is now reported to be a target for West Bromwich Albion.
The club are in fact said to have pegged Tejeda as a potential summer transfer target prior to the World Cup, but were waiting on the completion of deals for left-back Sebastien Pocognoli and £10 million striker Brown Ideye before they considered whether to renew their interest.
The 22-year-old is still playing in the domestic league with Deportivo Saprissa but has become a regular in the national side since his 2011 debut, thanks to his physical presence and solid ball-winning displays in the holding role, proving a core contributor to their surprise success in Brazil.
Linked to the likes of Sunderland, Derby County, Brighton and Fulham last month, Tejeda’s growing reputation has seemingly made him a wanted man this summer, but no solid offers appear to have materialised yet for the Saprissa captain.
Somewhat bizarrely named after the first President of Russia Boris Yeltsin, the promising international could be joined at West Brom by Costa Rica teammate Cristian Gamboa if the club do indeed decide to follow up their interest, with the Rosenborg right-back looking close to a move to the Hawthorns.

Having impressed on the big stage this summer, and with still much potential to fill, Tejeda could prove a solid addition to the Baggies’ squad, as new manager Alan Irvine tries to bolster a side which just managed to stave off relegation last season.
