‘Real will block Ronaldo’s United return’
Former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho revealed his belief that the Spanish club would block any return to Manchester United fro Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo is regularly linked with an Old Trafford return as he maintains a good relationship with the club and the fans.
“What I know is that Real Madrid is such a rich club they don’t need to sell and it is such a rich club I think they can beat any offer a club can have on Ronaldo,” said Mourinho.
‘Arsenal ready for make or break Suarez move’
The Mirror’s John Cross reported that Arsenal were ready to go all out to sign Luis Suarez from Liverpool.
The reported offer was thought to be in the region of £40 million, aimed at triggering Suarez’s release clause.
Arsenal did just that but as Liverpool owner John Henry later admitted, the Reds took no notice.
‘De Bruyne leaves Chelsea pre-season tour’
Kevin De Bruyne was sent home from Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the Far East with a knee injury.
De Bruyne was tipped to make a big impact at the club last season but he fell out of the team after some initial early performances.
Jose Mourinho revealed he feared the worst: “When he was on the floor and asking for a change, everybody on the bench, we thought the worst.”
