The first of three regalia related DLC packs for Dark Souls II is available from today.

The Lost Crown trilogy forms a three part DLC programme for Dark Souls II kicking off today with The Crown of the Sunken King. As the name would suggest you’re on a mission underground to find a lost royal headpiece with CotSK, an official description reads,

"Embark on a journey to reclaim a crown that Drangleic's King Vendrick once owned. This perilous quest will lead you through an entirely different world within the Dark Souls 2 universe, where stepped pyramids span a vast underground cavern.

"It is said that one of the ancient crowns lay buried deep within these dark caverns; but surely such a valued item cannot sit unguarded. Explore in search of a crown that holds the strength of lords from times long past."

Gamers following the DLC will be given the opportunity to search for two more crowns this year with Crown of the Old Iron King on August 26th and Crown of the Ivory King on September 24th.

The CotSK DLC rolls out from today priced at £7.99. The new content follows a recent Dark Souls II patch update 1.08 which has brought in tweaks to weapons balancing, armour and the number of souls invaders yield. Numerous bugs have also been ironed out, for a full run down of the patch notes hit this link.

Dark Souls II fans in Europe on PS3 will be able to get CotSK tomorrow when the EU PlayStation store updates.
