All the latest summer transfer news from La Liga...
Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone may have led the side to their first La Liga title in nearly 20 years, but he's seen Filipe Luis, David Villa, Adrian Lopez and Diego Costa all leave the club this summer, leaving him to contemplate what's next for them. Attacking reinforcements are key despite the addition of Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic, and Napoli forward Jose Maria Callejon confirmed there was a bid from Atletico - but the rumoured Chelsea target has told of his intention to stay in Italy.
"My agent told me about it (Atletico bid). Napoli declared me not for sale. That pleased me because I’m happy in this jersey and have another four years on my contract," said former Real Madrid star Callejon. "I feel good here. With (Rafa) Benitez I have freedom and I don’t want to give that up. "I have heard lots of talk about me. I know that (Jose) Mourinho is interested. Last year I made a choice and I don’t regret it. I am happy in this team and in this city and I will be staying at Napoli," he added.
Atletico's city rivals Real Madrid have made a move to win the title back by signing Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos for £20m, and Levante goalkeeper Keylor Navas appears to be nearing a move too. Their focus right now is on Monaco playmaker James Rodriguez, with the Colombian lined up for a whopping €80m switch to the Bernabeu - which could see Angel di Maria leave the club.
The Argentina international, 26, has been linked with a move to Manchester United recently, but it's Paris Saint-Germain who appear to be leading the chase for his signature - even if it has to be a loan deal. The Ligue 1 champions are trying to avoid Financial Fair Play trouble by taking di Maria on loan for the season before paying the €60m transfer fee next summer instead - a proposal which Real have so far turned down.
Elsewhere, Valencia's spending looks set to continue with the arrival of Benfica forward Rodrigo Moreno. The former Real Madrid striker, 23, will move to the Mestalla having impressed in Portugal, and he is set to become the latest new signing for manager Nuno's side, following Argentine duo Nicolas Otamendi and Rodrigo de Paul, as well as Benfica team mate Andre Gomes to the club.
