Tottenham transfer news, double swoop from Swansea, more Schneiderlin rumours

A selection of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur this Monday evening.

Tottenham are close to securing the services of two Swansea City players according to the London Evening Standard, with left-back Ben Davies and goalkeeper Michel Vorm

Davies has been a target for much of the summer for Mauricio Pochettino with the left-back said to be having a medical ahead of a move for around £10 million. Liverpool were also said to be interested in Daveis but the 21-year-old appears to have chosen White Hart Lane, and could join up with the squad on their pre-season tour of North America.

The signing of Davies is rumoured to pave the way for Danny Rose to leave the club for around £5 million according to reports.

Vorm's move to White Hart Lane is likely to see midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson return to the Liberty Stadium, where he had a spell on loan prior to joining Spurs

Tottenham are in pole position to land Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton according to Goal, with Arsenal also reportedly interested.

This has been one of the more interesting rumours of the summer, with other sources not so long ago also claiming it was a close battle between the two North London clubs for the French midfielder's signature, with 24-year-old rated at £18 million.

Tottenham's record signing Eric Lamela has thanked those 'who believed in him' after appearing in the 3-3 draw against Seattle Sounders on the club's pre-season tour of North America, where the Argentine made an appearance.
