Liverpool transfer news, Borini considering options, two deals completed this week?

Fabio Borini

A selection of the latest transfer news involving Liverpool Football Club this Monday morning.

Liverpool forward Fabio Borini is keen to stay at the club and fight for his place according to the Liverpool Echo, despite a fee of £14 million agreed with Sunderland for the Italian, but the striker is said to be considering his options.

Borini spent all of last season on loan at the Stadium of Light and ended up as a key player in their Premier League survival bid, and run to the League Cup final.

The 23-year-old is part of the Liverpool team that has flown out to the USA as part of the club's pre-season tour.

Whilst one forward is keeping his options open, one forward seems to be heading towards Anfield in the form of Loic Remy, who is set to sign for the club this week in a deal worth around £8 million.

Remy is set to fly out to America this week according to the Daily Mail to finalise the deal and join up with the Reds on their pre-season tour.

The Mail's report also says that a move for Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno could be resurrected after a prolonged saga where the Reds didn't want to pay the asking price of around £20 million for the defender.

There are more things to note from the Liverpool Echo's report, particularly that Andre Wisdom will complete his loan move to West Bromwich Albion tomorrow, following on from a loan spell at Championship side Derby County.

Several reports are indicating that Liverpool are on the brink of signing Southampton defender Dejan Lovren - who will be the third player to move from the Saints to the Reds this summer.

The figure on the fee for the centre-back seems to be ranging between £16 million and £20 million.

One man who could be leaving is Lucas Leiva, who is close to moving to Napoli on loan according to Goal.

He would link up with former Reds' boss Rafa Benitez if the deal were to happen, as competition for places in the central midfield area is set to be intense this season following the signing of Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen.
