With each and every passing day, it appears more and more likely that James Rodriguez will leave AS Monaco for Real Madrid.
The Ligue 1 club reportedly want £70 million for the Colombia international, which the Spanish giants are willing to pay (click here to read more).
If the 23-year-old does join last season’s Champions League winners, then he will be playing alongside Madrid’s famous ‘BBC’ – Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.
And this, former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand believes, will be the best frontline in club football.
Last season, Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema led Madrid to their 10th European Cup in style, and the addition of Rodriguez is going to enhance their productivity even more.
The former Banfield star, who joined Monaco from Porto for €45m (£36m) last summer, had a very good 2014 World Cup - he won the Golden Boot with six goals and was one of the nominees for the Golden Ball award, as Colombia reached the quarter-finals of the tournament in Brazil.
Madrid’s arch-rivals Barcelona will also have a very strong attacking line-up once Luis Suarez returns from his ban.
The Uruguay international, who joined the Blaugrana from Liverpool earlier this summer, will play as part of a front-three alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar.
