Real Madrid have begun selling shirts with reported transfer target James Rodriguez’s name on the back.
Madrid have been linked with the Colombia star following his superb displays that saw him win the Golden Boot at this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
And now the club shop has started selling shirts with ‘James’ and the number 10 on the back, indicating that his arrival at the Bernabeu could be imminent.
Rodriguez had also been linked with a move to Manchester United, but speculation is growing that Madrid have now scooped the 23-year-old.
The forward was signed by Monaco from Porto just a year ago for a fee of around €45million, yet the footballing world could not help but react to his performances as if he were a new and unknown wonderkid bursting onto the scene.
After just one season in Ligue 1, where he helped Monaco earn Champions League football with their second-place finish, it seems as if Colombia’s 'Golden Boy' will be on the move again.
Madrid have also been linked with Rodriguez’s Colombia and Monaco team-mate Radamel Falcao, another player who has been with the French club for just one season.
Los Blancos have signed Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich in the last few days, and recruiting both Rodriguez and Falcao would surely see them become a near unstoppable team.
