Exciting midfield prospect Mario Pasalic is close to heading out on loan.
They write: "The assignment last week was conceived and Balkan player could be presented in the coming days, according to reports from the club, which has an agreement with Chelsea that could impact with the arrival of some more footballers."
Pasalic, 19, signed from Hadjuk Split in Croatia earlier this month, and being loaned out for the season was always a strong possibility.
The only surprise perhaps is the potential destination, with Dutch side Vitesse bringing in several Chelsea stars last season.
The Marca report suggests Chelsea may be considering a similar agreement with Elche, and the opportunities and performance of Pasalic could be key to this.
It is important to add no deal is final yet, and this is just a rumour, but Pasalic spending a season in La Liga would certainly be a good idea, at a club where he would likely be afforded the chance to play regularly.
Already a superb prospect, called into the Croatian World Cup preliminary squad, playing in one of Europe's top divisions could fast track him for rapid progress to the first team at Chelsea next season.
This could be a very shrewd loan by Chelsea, and Elche who it would appear have a top class prospect with which to work with.
