Liverpool are reportedly closing in on a five-year deal for Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy.
That is the claim of Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio – a man in the know when it comes to these kind of things.
Remy has been linked with Liverpool for a while, and with the sale of Luis Suarez and likely departure of Fabio Borini, Brendan Rodgers needs at least one quality goal-getter this summer.
Remy certainly fits the bill, having netted 95 club goals in his career to date. And Di Marzio claims a deal could be signed as early as Tuesday.
It is being reported that Remy will sign a five-year deal worth €4million-a-season.
Arsenal had been linked with the French international but it now seems he could be on his way to Anfield as Rodgers continues his revolution.
If he does arrive, Remy will join four more new faces at the club in the form of Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Emre Can and Lazar Markovic. But the way Liverpool have been conducting their business this summer, something tells me there will be more to follow.
