Brendan Rodgers' side struggled in the first half and fell behind to a Josh Brownhill goal on the stroke of half time, but first half substitute Ibe came alive after the break, using his pace and dribbling ability to create problems for the Preston backline.
The 18-year-old, who joined the Reds from Wycombe Wanderers in 2012 having impressed in League Two with the Chairboys. Liverpool beat off plenty of competition to land his signature, and his display at Deepdale today will go some way to making people believe that he can become the next exciting young player at Anfield.
Ibe replaced the injured Emre Can in the first half, and should've scored having been played in on Jamie Jones' goal, but was more effective in the second half. He firstly drove at the Preston defence to set up Suso's equaliser, before beating Keith Keane down the left hand side to tee up Krisoffer Peterson for the winner.
Fans were understandably excited by Ibe's performance, and many are hoping that he can develop into an important player for Liverpool - with some heady comparisons to Alexis Sanchez and Raheem Sterling made...
