La Liga transfer latest: Arsenal forward accidentally tweets about Sevilla move?

All the latest summer transfer news from La Liga...

Real Madrid have already secured the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos in a £20m deal, but Carlo Ancelotti's side won't be stopping there with their summer spending plans. Monaco playmaker James Rodriguez remains their top target after a stunning World Cup campaign, whilst Levante goalkeeper Keylor Navas is seen as an upgrade on Iker Casillas and Diego Lopez between the sticks. Whilst a deal seems close, the Costa Rican says nothing has been agreed.

"I hope I can speak to you differently in the future and tell you my situation, I hope things go well and can be finalised, but so far, I haven’t signed anything with anyone. At the moment, we’re still waiting, things are moving along," said Navas, who also enjoyed a sublime World Cup.

With Kroos now a Madrid player, there was always going to be an outgoing in Ancelotti's midfield. Sami Khedira had been strongly linked with a move to either Arsenal or Chelsea last week, whilst experienced former Liverpool star Xabi Alonso had to deny speculation over a move to Napoli to reunite with former boss Rafael Benitez.

Today, the picture became somewhat clearer as Brazilian youngster Casemiro, 22, left the Spanish capital for a season-long loan deal with Portuguese giants Porto. The former Sao Paulo man is still highly rated by the Madrid side, but clearly felt that with so many big name players vying for places, loaning him out was the best solution.

Elsewhere, confusion surrounds the future of Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski after a bizarre Twitter faux pas. The German international allegedly tweeted "The Road to Sevilla FC" before quickly deleting it - but not before Sevilla-based media outlets grabbed a screenshot.

There is little proof as to whether that is real or not just yet, but with Alexis Sanchez arriving at the Emirates Stadium, it's certainly plausible that Podolski could be sold this summer.
