Arsenal launched their new kit for the 2014-15 season last week, and it appears that Jack Wilshere still cannot get over it.
The England international midfielder has made it clear that he loves the new design and posted the following photo on Instagram with the message: ‘New kit has to be up there with one of the best ever! #DoingIt’
The new design is indeed great and will go down well with the Arsenal fans, but perhaps it is more important that the players, especially Wilshere, perform to the best of their abilities on the pitch.
Wilshere has come under some severe criticisms in recent months for his under-par performances both for Arsenal and England.
The 22-year-old burst onto the scene as a teenager, but he has not progressed in the past three years as much as he would have wanted to.
Injuries have played a part in impeding the development of the talented Wilshere, but the Englishman has often been found wanting in matches for one reason or the other.
Recently, Wilshere was spotted smoking again while on holiday, and that is unlikely to have gone down well with Gunners manager Arsene Wenger.
Wilshere will need to step up his game in the 2014-15 season and earn a place in Arsenal’s starting line-up. As things stand, he is not guaranteed a place in the team week in and week out.
