The next iteration in the Gran Turismo games could include the world famous Mountain Course from the Isle of Man TT - does this mean motorcycles are coming?

As reported by bikesportnews.com, technical programmers from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe are visiting the Isle of Man and taking a look the its famous Mountain Course for possible inclusion in the next Gran Turismo game on the PS4.

To give you some perspective, the Nürburgring, which is currently a track in Gran Turismo 6, is around 17.5 miles long when on the ‘whole course’ and can be split into different smaller courses. The Mountain Course of the Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) is 37.73 miles long and is made up of public roads, obviously closed off when the racing is taking place.

The Isle of Man TT is a motorcycle festival which takes place each year on the island in June. With this being a course for motorcycles, could we be seeing them included in the next Gran Turismo? The developers of the series, Polyphony Digital, did make Tourist Trophy back in 2006, which was a motorcycle simulator similar to Gran Turismo.

The Mountain Course has been recreated for video games before in the arcade machine and Sega Saturn versions of Manx TT Superbike, and the PlayStation 2 game TT Superbikes Real Road Racing Championship.

If the course is to be used in the next Gran Turismo it will need approval from the Isle of Man Tourism department. Considering I live on the Isle of Man, and the fact that the Gran Turismo games recreate the real world courses so accurately, it would be amazing to see them include the Mountain Course in their next game.
