Despite Goal claiming that Arsenal have opened talks with Southampton regarding French midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, ahead of a bid just under £20 million, it appears the player himself, or someone close to him, is giving off information very much contrary to such reports.

It may be nothing more than an innocent slip, or even a playful coincidence, or it could signify that Spurs, and Schneiderlin's former boss Mauricio Pochettino, are about to steal in and snap up the 24-year-old. Whatever it means, the player later unfollowed them, suggesting he may have realised exactly what his action implied.
The midfielder has already disclosed in the last month that he is considering joining the exodus from St Mary's, after saying last month: "I've been there for a long time now."
"We'll see how things go, but the directors know my position and what my intentions are.
"Everyone has ambitions, everyone has his own future in his hands, so we’ll see. Every player wants to play on big occasions."
Arsenal had turned to Schneiderlin, who featured for France in the World Cup in Brazil, after the possibility of signing Sami Khedira seemed to fall away somewhat. Apparently, the German's wage demands have put off Arsene Wenger, leading the Gunners boss to consider brining another compatriot into the Emirates setup.
The coming days will likely indicate whether there is any truth in either the Arsenal rumours, or the Tottenham Twitter leads.
