Player Leicester and Palace reportedly prepared to spend big on linked with German move

Bay Arena - Bayer Leverkusen

A reported target for West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Leicester City is now being linked with a possible move to the Bundesliga.

Reported Leicester City, West Ham United and Crystal Palace target Islam Slimani is now said to be attracting interest from Bayer Leverkusen.

The striker has been a regular in the gossip columns since his World Cup exploits for Algeria.

First West Ham were said to be keen on a move for the Sporting Lisbon striker. Then Crystal Palace were reportedly prepared to pay £10million for the 26-year-old. And most recently Leicester City had allegedly made him their primary target and were willing to stump up €8million to bring him to England.

But now Portuguese newspaper O Jogo claims Bundesliga side Leverkusen are keen on a player who netted twice in Brazil this summer, following a domestic campaign in which he scored 10 goals for the Primeira Liga runners-up.

In truth it is just speculation atop speculation, with the player seemingly no closer to a move despite being linked with a whole host of clubs.

While both Palace and Leicester were both tipped to make a bid, it appears neither has yet made their move. And following West Ham’s signing of Enner Valencia the Hammers may already be out of the race.

For now Slimani continues to be linked here, there and everywhere. So where he will be next season remains a mystery.
