Napoli will be able to count Michu amongst their ranks for next season after completing a loan agreement with Swansea City.
Talks had been developing for some time between the two clubs with the Italians favouring a loan and the Welsh side preferring a permanent transfer.
In the end, Rafa Benitez got what he wanted and Michu has arrived at the Stadio San Paolo for the season with the option to buy him outright this time next year.
The 28-year-old didn't travel with the rest of the Swansea squad for their pre-season tour of the USA, which made his exit seem inevitable.
Michu is quoted as saying: "I'm happy to be able to win things in this shirt."
It is believed that Swansea will receive some payment for the loan, but no figure has been released.
Napoli will look to the new man to relieve some of the scoring pressure on Argentine international Gonzalo Higuain and will hope that Michu adds the strength in depth that was sometimes lacking last season.
Michu is expected to meet up with his new teammates very shortly and will begin his pre-season with Napoli, who are looking to improve on last season's third-placed finish.
