He came, he saw, he scored a few big goals and he went away.
Chelsea signed Demba Ba from Newcastle United in January 2013 on a three-and-a-half year contract for an undisclosed fee. Former Liverpool and current Napoli manager Rafael Benitez was in charge of the Blues at the time.
However, Jose Mourinho, who returned to Stamford Bridge last summer, did not rate the 29-year-old striker and made no attempt to hide the fact.
The Senegal international, though, continued to work hard and scored some important goals, such as the one against Paris Saint-Germain at the Bridge in the Champions League.

Ba was always likely to leave Chelsea this summer, and it was confirmed on Friday that he has moved to Turkish giants Besiktas.
The Istanbul club have paid Chelsea €6 million (£4.7m) as transfer fee, and it seems that the move is best for all parties concerned.
The former Hoffenheim and West Ham United striker will probably not go down as one of the best players ever to have featured for Chelsea, but the London club’s fans appear to be largely appreciative of what he did during his one-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge.
Below is a selection of the tweets from Chelsea fans, and we have also included some from other clubs’ supporters.
Doing cartwheels we didn't sign #DembaBa. Most nakedly opportunistic footballer around at the moment— NubiBlue (@NubiBlue) July 18, 2014
Gonna miss #DembaBa when he goes to Besiktas. At least he'll get to play, though.— aswinsam (@aswinsam) July 18, 2014
