Mathieu Debuchy is officially an Arsenal player, replacing the long-serving Bacary Sagna.
The right-back will expect to become a regular with the Gunners and fit seamlessly into the side, but there is one teammate he will get to know better than most.
That is Theo Walcott, the club's first choice attacking threat down the right side.
The Englishman has used his Twitter feed to welcome Debuchy, and tell him he can't wait to start playing alongside him.
Walcott is not always known for his defensive work, so the pair will have to build up a strong understanding to flourish on the field.
Debuchy is strong enough defensively to cope with this, although Walcott did make contributions without the ball during his limited game time last season.
The attacker was not the only Arsenal player to welcome Debuchy to Arsenal via Twitter, with Aaron Ramsey and Lukas Podolski stating their keenness to meet up with him.
