Louis van Gaal has wasted no time getting his teeth stuck into the task of coaching Manchester United.
The 62-year-old Dutchman arrived in Manchester yesterday and wasted no time in getting straight to work as he took his first training session ahead of his official unveiling as boss later today.
Several reports have suggested that van Gaal is looking to make snap judgements on several players as he looks to create squad space and sign new players ahead of the new season, which is now under one month away.
Van Gaal was pictured addressing the players who have already reported back for first team training, while having talks with his staff as he looks to get to grips with the current status of Manchester United’s squad.
Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera have both been signed but there are further squad additions needed, with a new centre-back, a right-back and a winger thought to be among the priorities for LvG.
United are soon to jet off for their pre-season tour of the USA but it’s encouraging for the club’s fans that van Gaal isn’t messing around and has got straight down to business when other coaches may have taken a couple of days off.
