Toni Kroos is officially a Real Madrid player. The Germany international midfielder has signed a six-year contract with the European champions.
The transfer fee paid to Bayern Munich has not been officially disclosed, but it is reported to be £20 million.
It is a huge coup for Madrid, who have not only signed one of the best players in the world, but also someone who has just won the World Cup.
The 24-year-old was an integral part of the Germany team that clinched the tournament in Brazil for the fourth time in history.

Kroos’s future had come under doubt since the end of last season, as negotiations over a new contract with Bayern appeared to be going nowhere.
Manchester United were linked with a move for the star player, but with the Red Devils eventually signing their long-term target Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao, Madrid were the only club left in the running for his prized signature.
Kroos himself hinted during the World Cup that he will join the 10-time European champions, and now he has officially done so, with the Spanish club presenting him to the fans on Thursday.
Kroos is a truly brilliant player and is considered by many to be a ‘complete midfielder’. His arrival at Real is certainly going to strengthen Carlo Ancelotti’s side, but it is also going to increase competition in the team.
