He made an immediate impact as his run and cross allowed for Kristoffer Peterson to equalise for the Reds after they trailed at the break, as Ibe terrorised the Danish side's defence at times with his pace and power.
At the age of 18 he still has a lot of things within his game to develop - one aspect was his finishing which came in for some criticism yesterday evening, as he missed a couple of chances which could have swung the game his side's way.
But after returning from a loan spell at Birmingham City towards the back end of last season, some were suggesting that he could make an impact for Liverpool's first team in the season ahead, whilst others suggested he may need another spell away from the club to develop him further.
Ibe still has plenty of time to impress manager Brendan Rodgers ahead of the new season, and has admitted himself that his finishing is something he needs to work on.
Here is what a few people on twitter had to say:
Jordan Ibe needs to be in that first team squad next season— Shania (@ShaniaCLFC_) July 16, 2014
Wouldn't worry to much about Ibe finishing. Sterling couldn't finish when he first broke through. Comes in time and experience.— Amar Kumar (@amarchilin) July 16, 2014
Another great chance from Ibe but he can't put the ball away. Plenty for him still to work on.— Anfield Online (@anfieldonline) July 16, 2014
That is the difference between Sterling and Ibe, Sterling would of finished that all day long— Poetry in Motion (@NabsLFC) July 16, 2014
I'm 17. Ibe is 18. He's a brilliant future first team player.— Peter (@PeterrLFC) July 16, 2014
