Vidal to Manchester United will fund big Juventus move for Liverpool linked star

Manchester United's pursuit of Arturo Vidal could see Liverpool linked Juan Iturbe clinch a big move to Juventus.

Manchester United continue to chase Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal, knowing the central midfielder is by fa superior to any of their current midfielders.

Vidal netted 11 Serie A goals last season, while United's midfield as a whole contributed only 16 in the Premier League.

Juventus are reluctant to sell Vidal, but with a lack of funds to clinch 'big' signings, illustrated by their failed pursuit of Alexis Sanchez, the fee they would get for the Chilean could be put to very good use.

A star they have been consistently linked with, and who the sale of Vidal would open the door towards, is Juan Iturbe.

The Argentine is officially now a Hellas Verona player after his switch from Porto was made permanent, but his instant adjustment to Serie A has made him an attractive option for many sides around Europe.

Iturbe bagged eight goals and provided four assists last season, and the 21-year-old has also been repeatedly linked with a transfer to Liverpool, who are cash-rich from the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.

Hellas Verona are open to cashing in on the player immediately, but only if they get a huge €30 million transfer fee they are demanding.

Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport report Juventus would be open to paying €25 million, but cannot afford to go higher.

This is a proposition which would change considerably if the Italian champions do a deal with Manchester United, to sell Arturo Vidal for an anticipated €45-50 million.

While the signing of Lazar Markovic has pushed Iturbe down Liverpool's list of priorities, the Argentine remains high on those of Juventus.

It's easy to question the motives of Juventus in selling Arturo Vidal, but having missed out on Sanchez, and in previous summers Robin van Persie and Stevan Jovetic because they could not afford them, cashing in on the Chilean would allow them at last to secure an expensive signing who is top of their wanted list.
