All the latest summer transfer news from Serie A...
AC Milan have been busy in the transfer market so far this summer, as new manager Pippo Inzaghi looks to restore the club to its former glories. They landed Paris Saint-Germain duo Alex and Jeremy Menez already, but they could look to target another PSG player in Lucas Moura.
The winger, who has been linked with Manchester United for over two years now, could be slipping further down the pecking order at the Parc des Princes if Laurent Blanc's side land Real Madrid's Angel di Maria. Milan are clearly looking for a winger, with Juan Iturbe, Antoine Griezmann and Ezequiel Lavezzi all linked with moves to the San Siro this summer.
Neighbours Inter Milan are also undergoing something of a rebuild under new owner Erick Thohir, and whilst much of the focus has been on incoming players - such as Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic - striker Mauro Icardi has been linked with moves to both Atletico Madrid and Chelsea in recent weeks. Despite starting just 12 games last season, Argentine youngster Icardi hit nine goals, but says he never had any thought of leaving the Nerazzurri.
"Atletico? Why would I ever leave Inter?" said the 21-year-old. "I am a key player here and I want to do well wearing the Inter jersey. I had my phone switched off during my holiday and didn’t read any papers. I never even considered leaving Inter."
Elsewhere, Juventus were rocked yesterday by the news that manager Antonio Conte has left the club, but the arrival of new manager Massimiliano Allegri has had no bearing on the future of striker Fabio Quagliarella. The 31-year-old, who was inked with Arsenal last season, has found first team football hard to come by with Juve, but won't be moving far in order to find it. Turin rivals Torino have all but wrapped up a deal to take the former Italian international across the city as they look to replace Ciro Immobile, who left for Borussia Dortmund earlier this summer.
