Chelsea captain John Terry has congratulated his young teammates after the side's 5-0 friendly win away at Wycombe Wanderers.
Terry posted the above photo on his Instagram page, taken on the team bus on the journey down the M40.
He added the accompanying message: "On the bus on the way home from playing Wycombe tonight. well done to all the lads @izzyjaybrown@jhoughts95 @nathanake57 @marcovanginkel@mitch_beeney @jb_dreamchaser"
Pictured with Terry are Izzy Brown, who scored twice in the win, Jordan Houghton, Nathan Ake, Marco van Ginkel, goalkeeper Mitchell Beeney and Jeremie Boga.
Each of the young players featured in the win, in which Terry himself scored, along with Patrick Bamford and Branislav Ivanovic to add to Brown's brace.
For the young players, some of who were playing under-18 football at stages last year, the friendly was a fantastic exercise to mix with established stars like Terry and Ivanovic, and get them acclimatised for potential jumps to the first team one day.
The early pre-season schedule is offering increased opportunities to youngsters due to many regulars being on extended breaks due to the World Cup, and it is one Brown certainly seized last night.
With potential spots on the US tour up for grabs, there was extra reason to impress manager Jose Mourinho too. Many of them already appear to have their captain's approval.
