Below is the 23-man squad that has been chosen ahead of Liverpool's pre-season friendly against Brondby.
Liverpool have announced the 23-man squad that will be involved in this evening’s friendly match against Danish side Brondby.
The Reds’ official website has revealed the names of the players who will get the first chance to impress Brendan Rodgers following the first-team squad’s return to training.
There is no place for new signings Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana (who were on World Cup duty this summer) or Emre Can and the most recent arrival Lazar Markovic.
It will be a relatively young squad for Rodgers to choose from, although Daniel Agger is included and should play against his former side.
Martin Skrtel, Joe Allen, Lucas and Fabio Borini are also included, along with returning loanees Tiago Ilori, Andre Wisdom, Jordon Ibe, Conor Coady and Suso.
The match kicks off at 5:00pm GMT. But with new faces aplenty and more expected before the new season begins, this evening’s starting line-up will look markedly different to the one that turns out for the opening game of the new campaign next month.
The full 23-man squad can be seen below: Jones, Agger, Coutinho, Lucas, Allen, Ilori, Borini, Suso, Ibe, Kelly, Coady, Skrtel, Flanagan, Adorjan, Smith, Phillips, Rossiter, Wisdom, Jones, Ward, Teixeira, Peterson, Stewart.
