According to recent reports, Loic Remy could be set to stay at Loftus Road next season.
Indeed, a Daily Mirror report has detailed a second release clause in Remy's contract that forces teams outside the top four to pay £11 million to retain his services and £15m for sides outside the top six.
Despite the claims, though, that changes the situation very little. Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham have been the most strongly linked clubs to the Frenchman's signature and the release clause will remain the same for them (and just £3m more for Spurs).
However, according to the report, the clause somehow makes QPR more confident that Remy will remain in west London next season.

New Fulham loan signing Kostas Stafylidis has been talking to the club and says he has enjoyed his experience since joining up with the team last week.
“I’m very happy to be here at Fulham,” Stafylidis told the club's official website. “I only joined up with the team last week, so it’s early days. But it’s been really good so far, and it’s been great to be involved so quickly."
“When you arrive at a new team you always want to show what you can do. We’ve got a really good squad here and hopefully I can make a difference. I like to think that I’m a defender that can play his part at both ends of the pitch."
“First and foremost, I am in the team to defend – to keep the ball out. But I do like to get forward, if I have the chance to attack then I will. That’s always been the way that I have played, and the Manager encourages that."
