Liverpool were forced to offload the Uruguayan following his biting antics during the World Cup.
Luis Suarez has been pictured arriving in Barcelona following his £75 million transfer from Liverpool.
The Uruguayan completed his move to the Catalan giants last week, as The Reds were forced to sell the striker after his bite on Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini during the World Cup.
Suarez arrived at his new family home in the Spanish city, and was accompanied by his family as they refused to speak to reporters and fans. The 27-year-old has been banned from an official unveiling to the Barcelona supporters, as part of his suspension from all football related activity until the end of October.
Suarez’s legal team failed in their latest appeal to get the striker’s ban reduced last week, as the Barcelona squad begin their preparations for the new season.
Regardless of Suarez’s ban, his return will mark the beginning of a fascinating battle in Spain between Barcelona and Real Madrid, with both clubs boasting stellar front-three options.
Barca have four-time world player of the year Lionel Messi and Brazil’s Neymar in addition to Suarez, while Madrid will unleash Crisitano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema, with James Rodriguez and Radamel Falcao also tipped to arrive at the Bernabéu.
Suarez joins Barcelona following a strong season with Liverpool, where he scored 31 goals to see them finish second in the Premier League.
Should Barcelona hit the ground running when the new season begins next month, they will be boosted even further come November when Suarez returns.
