New Dota 2 gaming mouse to be shown at TI14 this weekend

SteelSeries has shown off its newest PC gaming mouse which comes in a Dota 2 style along with an exclusive in-game item for the MOBA too.

SteelSeries creates high quality gear for gamers, so you won’t find any cheap travel mice for your laptop here, this is the real deal. Their latest creation, the SteelSeries Rival Dota 2 Edition is said to ‘give you the edge over your rivals.’ It also comes with an exclusive in-game item for Doom in Dota 2, ‘Hell’s Glare,’ an item inspired by one of the items you can create in the game, Radiance.

The mouse will be at The International 2014 Dota 2 tournament this coming weekend for attendees to gawk at. In a press release Tino Soelberg, SteelSeries CTO said “we believe that Dota players deserve the best, so we set out to give fans a mouse with a design they would love without sacrificing the functionality they require. We extensively tested our Dota 2 Edition of the Rival Optical Mouse with professional players from Natus Vincere, Invictus Gaming and Fnatic which has resulted in one of the most powerful mice we’ve ever built – and to make it even more special for the Dota 2 community, we’ve added a unique in-game item.”

If the pros have tested it then it must be pretty sharp. The mouse can be fully modded using the SteelSeries Engine 3, a program which allows you to alter many of the mouse’s features, such as acceleration for example. Even Dota 2 themed illuminations can be altered.

The SteelSeries Rival Dota 2 Edition will be available to pre-order once The International is over on Monday, and it will be priced at £69.99/$69.99 MSRP.

SteelSeries have other Dota 2 inspired gear over here too, so check them out.
