Ahead of the launch of the new kit, Manchester City have announced on their official website a number of changes to the squad numbers of players.
Serbian attacking full-back Aleksandr Kolarov has swapped his number 13 shirt for number 11, which allows new Argentine goalkeeper Willy Caballero to snap up the vacant 13 shirt.
The website article suggests that Scott Sinclair's future is in slight doubt by claiming that he "may snatch up the vacant no.12". The winger's career has flatlined since his move to the North-West from Swansea City in 2012; he has made only 11 appearances during his time at City.
Other changes include new signing Fernando, who has moved to the Citizens from FC Porto, taking on the number 6 jersey and Bacary Sagna, opting to wear the number 3.
City fans will be excited by the fact that youth product Karim Rekik returns from a season-long loan spell at PSV. The Dutch centre-back takes on Samir Nasri's old number, the number 19. The fact that it's a relatively low number could suggest that he will feature in Manuel Pellegrini's first-team plans for the season ahead.
The new City kit launches in stores this Thursday and will cost fans £55. To include the gold champion badges and players' names, fans will be expected to part with £69.95.
