A selection of the latest news surrounding Tottenham Hotspur this Tuesday evening.

Tottenham are prepared to end their interest in Swansea City left-back Ben Davies according to the Daily Mail.

New Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino wants to strengthen his defence ahead of the new season, and the club are now said to be looking for alternatives because Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins is said to have pulled the plug on deal for the £12 million-rated defender.

The Daily Telegraph has reported that Tottenham would have to pay £11 million if they want to land striker Loic Remy from Queens Park Rangers.

Remy is said to have a clause in his contract that makes him cheaper for clubs who have qualified for next season's Champions League. Arsenal and Liverpool are said to be interested in the forward and as a result would only have to pay around £8 million for the forward.

Hull City's bid to land Tottenham captain Michael Dawson has stalled according to Sky Sports.

It has been rumoured that the Tigers have made a £4 million bid for the 30-year-old defender but Hull manager Steve Bruce is quoted saying it's at 'stalemate'.

He said: "Michael I've always liked, there's no disputing that.

"But at the end of the day, he's Tottenham's captain with time left on his contract.

"It's difficult, but it's something we've had a nibble at. We'll see if it happens."

Striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been released from hospital after suffering from Malaria.

The forward was admitted to hospital on Saturday, and will not be able to train for at least a week according to the a statement from the Tottenham club website.
