Chelsea transfer news: Filipe Luis deal agreed? New deal for Cahill

A round up of transfer stories this morning about Chelsea.

Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have reportedly finally reached an agreement over a deal for left-back Filipe Luis.

The Brazilian has been regularly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge and a £20 million fee has been agreed according to reports.

Luis is a solid replacement for Ashley Cole and a player who will release Cesar Azpilicueta to play at right-back.

Chelsea centre-back Gary Cahill is set to be rewarded with a new four-year deal at the club.

Cahill formed part of the best defence in the Premier League last season alongside club veteran John Terry.

The Express suggests the deal could be worth in the region of £120,000 per week.

The Metro claims Chelsea are one of three clubs chasing Everton youngster John Stones.

The versatile defender impressed for the Toffees over the second half of last season attracting the apparent interest of the Blues along with Arsenal and Spurs.

However, Chelsea are well stocked in terms of central defensive options with Tomas Kalas out on loan and Kurt Zouma unlikely to feature for the first team next season.
