Diego Costa completed his protracted transfer from Atletico Madrid to Chelsea earlier today, Tuesday.
"I am very happy to sign for Chelsea," said the Brazil-born Spain international after exchanging terms for a five-year basis.
"Everybody knows it is a big club in a very competitive league, and I am very excited to get started in England with a fantastic coach and team-mates.
"Having played against Chelsea last season I know the high quality of the squad I am joining.
"I would like to thank everybody at Atletico who made me into the player I am, it was an incredible time for me, but now I am starting a new adventure and I hope to win many trophies with Chelsea."
At Stamford Bridge it could be a case of one player in, one loan star out as Lucas Piazon perhaps cannot see how he can play his way into a midfield high on quality.
He said: "I don’t know what is going to happen but at the moment I’m really happy to be here. I will play in pre-season until we make a decision and I will try to do what’s the best thing for me."
Piazon excelled for Vitesse on a temporary basis last term.
The Express continue the Paul Pogba to Chelsea story, with more news of £60 million interest. Agent Mino Raiola has dismissed the move: "Everything is perfect at Juventus and no meetings are planned. Paul to Chelsea? It's just fantasy football."
Pogba speculation will no doubt increase now that Antonio Conte is to leave his post as the Old Lady's boss.
And finally, Besiktas have reportedly agreed a £10 million fee for Demba Ba.
