Serie A transfer latest: Juventus eyeing Spurs man as replacement for United target Vidal?

All the latest summer transfer news from Serie A...

AC Milan have not only appointed a new manager in former Rossoneri striker Pippo Inzaghi, but also been busy in the transfer market with the signings of Paris Saint-Germain duo Jeremy Menez and Alex. Kaka has left the club after just one year back at the San Siro, and there could be another departure in the form of Mario Balotelli.

The former Manchester City striker is a known enigma, but has bags of talent that needs harnessing. Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for the 23-year-old, and now, according to speculation in Italy, Milan have slapped an €18m (£14.35m) price tag on his head.

Milan had also been linked with a move to sign Sampdoria's Spanish midfielder Pedro Obiang, but now it seems that Premier League side West Ham United are also tracking 22-year-old. Obiang impressed in Serie A last season, but despite the Hammers splashing the cash this summer, Obiang's agent says there hasn't been an offer from Sam Allardyce's side - yet.

"Pedro is liked by them, but at the moment there haven’t been any offers, neither from Italy or England," said agent Jose Gonzalez. "His will is to stay at Sampdoria, like the old club ownership wanted. Next week I’ll meet the club to understand their intentions about the player’s future. Clearly, should an offer arrive ready to satisfy both Pedro and Sampdoria, he could leave," he added.

Elsewhere, Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has been strongly linked with a blockbuster move to Manchester United this summer, which would leave Antonio Conte needing midfield reinforcements if the Chilean does move on. The latest name to be linked with a move to Turin is Tottenham's Paulinho.

The Brazilian midfielder endured an up-and-down first season in England and then struggled to make an impact for Brazil at the World Cup, leaving his White Hart Lane future in a little doubt - and a move from Juventus could be good for all parties involved.
