Leeds United have opted not to sign Swiss defender Jonathan Rossini after he failed to impress while training with the squad in Italy.
Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has confirmed that Jonathan Rossini will be returning to Sassuolo after disappointing on trial.
The 25-year-old had looked likely to move to Elland Road when he started training with the rest of the Leeds players in Italy.
A Switzerland Under-21 international centre-back, Rossini transferred to Parma on loan during last season but only made two appearances for the Ducali.
"Rossini didn't show enough in the three days he spent training with the rest of the team," he explained.
"After speaking to him it is clear that he didn’t have the right attitude to join Leeds, so we have allowed him to leave."
Leeds have however completed the signings of Catania striker Souleymane Doukara on a season long loan and midfielder Tommaso Bianchi.
Doukara is a Senegalese forward who spent last season at Juve Stabia in Serie B, scoring six times in 20 outings.
Former Under-21 international Bianchi has joined for an undisclosed fee from Rossini's team Sassuolo.
