Arsenal star Lukas Podolski is one happy man after achieving his lifelong dream.
The German lifted the World Cup after an exciting extra-time win over Argentina, celebrating along with clubmates Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker.
Podolski was the only one of the trio not to feature in the final itself, but played a role earlier in the tournament.
This is Podolski's third World Cup, and made his tournament debut for Germany at Euro 2004.
Now he can finally put a winner's medal in his collection, and recorded possibly the tournament's first ever 'selfie' with the trophy posted on social media to go to it.
The German trio will get an extended break now after the World Cup, but when they return to Arsenal the buzz they provide to the rest of the squad will be an energy managers can only wish they could bottle and pass on.
