A listing for current-gen versions of From Software’s challenging sequel to Dark Souls has been spotted online.
Tesco.com have listed Dark Souls 2 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles, as reported by Total Xbox. Dark Souls 2 was released this year for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, and was well received by fans and critics. HITC’s own Steve Reynolds reviewed the game too, and you can read his thoughts about how it isn’t really that hard over here.
With a handful of games receiving re-releases on Sony and Microsoft’s newest consoles, it wouldn’t surprise us if Dark Souls 2 has now been added to the roster. The Last of Us Remastered hits PS4 this month, and we can see why, due to its numerous awards and incredible ratings across the board. Plus the game came out a year ago, so perhaps we’re ready for an updated version. However, does Dark Souls 2 need a remastering on current-gen? The prospect of nicer-looking graphics and an increased frame rate is always welcome, but the game only came out in March of this year, but does that really matter? If you're yet to buy Dark Souls 2 and have a current-gen console it could be worth it.
