Juventus are lining up a £20million bid for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho, according to the Telegraph.

The Brazilian midfielder has not hit the heights he displayed prior to his move to White Hart Lane, when he was one of the stand-out performers at last summer’s Confederations Cup. But the report claims the Italian side are considering the player as a replacement for Arturo Vidal.

Despite the fee reported, it is claimed Daniel Levy will ask for at least £25million before sanctioning the deal.

In other news, Tottenham have been thrown into a hypothetical tug-of-war with Liverpool for Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony.

The Ivorian shone in his debut season in the Premier League, and the Independent now claims Spurs are willing to enter the bidding at £18million for the 25-year-old.

They clearly need some new front-men to challenge Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado, and Bony would be an excellent addition. But they will have to go some to beat Liverpool to his signature given the Reds can offer Champions League football next season.
