Dota 2 International 2014 Phase Two final day results

Dota 2 International 2014

We now know which six teams have been eliminated from the Dota 2 International 2014 eSports event, and which are moving forward in the competition.

The final day of the Phase Two Playoff matches has ended, and we now know which teams didn’t make it through. Today and tomorrow will see the final of the three phases taking place to determine which of the middle eight teams in yesterday’s standings will progress to Friday’s main event. Spoilers ahead, so don’t scroll any further if you’re still wanting to watch any matches from yesterday.

The top two teams have made it straight through to the finals beginning on Friday – ViCi and Evil Geniuses. The teams held on to their top spots since Thursday, whilst the middle eight shifted slightly but didn’t change their roster at all from Friday. Unfortunately for last year’s champions, Alliance, they couldn’t quite make the cut and missed out on their chance to retain their title. They join the rest of the bottom six teams, and will have to watch the remainder of the competition from the sidelines. Four of the six eliminated teams do leave with some prize money, but it’s little consolation considering the amount they could have won from the massive $10 million USD prize pool.
