The 21-year-old striker is heading to pastures new this summer following his Liverpool release.
Sky Sports yesterday reported that former Liverpool forward Michael Ngoo may be about to sign for Odense BK in Denmark, following his release from Anfield in May.
The giant forward emerged from the club academy as a promising forward after signing from Southend, his huge frame and power a massive nuisance at lower age groups. Ngoo scored 15 goals in 21 games for the Under-18 side in 2011, before topscoring for the reserves in the following season.
The year after Ngoo enjoyed a strong loan spell in the Scottish Premier League with Hearts, scoring 5 times in 17 games. However, disappointing loan spells with Yeovil in the Championship last season, and then Walsall in League One, led to the 21-year-old being released this summer.
Capped up to England U20 level, Ngoo may have failed to come good at Liverpool, but could yet make the grade elsewhere, even if he does have to do so via an unconventional switch to the Danish Superliga with Odense.
OB finished in mid table last season, but do have some history when it comes to Danish football, having won the league three times in the 70s and 80s. They were a strong side recently too, finishing second three years in a row from 2009 to 2011.
The Danish side will be hoping to win the race for Ngoo, with Sky Sports claiming a number of English sides are also pursuing him.
