Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been speaking about France and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been speaking ahead of Sunday’s World Cup final between Germany and Argentina, having his say on plenty of issues that football fans have seen during this summer’s tournament.

In an exclusive interview with beIN SPORTS, the Gunners’ boss was asked how much potential Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has as a player, and the 64-year-old was effusive in his praise.

“Paul Pogba is a world-class player potentially,” Wenger said, “and I think he has absolutely every quality that every footballer could dream to have.

“He has the power, the charisma, the technique – he walks out onto the field and all eyes are on him – and he has this incredible acceleration and pace.

“I think the only question mark is whether he really wants it mentally. He will answer that question certainly in the coming years, but potential-wise I think he is the best midfielder of tomorrow in the world.”

In Brazil Pogba impressed for the French, scoring one goal, setting up another and generally looking like he had been competing on the biggest stage of all for years.

It was this fearlessness and belief in his ability that really saw him stand out.

Arsenal have been linked with Pogba in the past, but that particular ship may well have sailed, with Juventus unlikely to accept anything other than a huge offer for the former Manchester United midfielder.

But it is clear that Wenger rates his young countryman extremely highly, and having seen Arsenal splash the cash on Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in recent times, surely the Gunners boss would not attempt to bring in a future superstar to join his current ones...or would he?
