A selection of the latest stories involving Liverpool Football Club this Friday morning.

Liverpool are considering using forward Iago Aspas as a makeweight in a deal to try and land Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno according to the Liverpool Echo.

Aspas struggled to make an impact at Anfield last season, as he scored just the one goal in an FA Cup tie against Oldham Athletic, and with Liverpool not meeting the asking price for 22-year-old Moreno, combined with Sevilla's supposed interested in the player, the Reds are hopeful that a deal can still be done. The report says that Aspas's agent has already held talks with the Europa League winners.

If Liverpool don't land Moreno they could turn their attentions to Chelsea's Ryan Bertrand and Swansea City's Ben Davies.

The Echo also reports that Lazar Markovic's medical has been delayed due to logistical problems but they still expect the deal to be completed over the next 24 to 48 hours for the Benfica winger, who is expected to sign for a fee of around £20 million.

Whilst the Echo are reporting that Wilfried Bony is one of many striking options Liverpool are looking at, the Daily Mirror has reported that Bony is desperate for a move to Anfield, reporting a £19 million release clause in his contract. Tottenham are also said to be interested.

There is more speculation from the Daily Mail regarding Fabio Borini, as they suggest the Italian could be subject to an £8 million bid from Sunderland.

Borini spent a season on loan at the Black Cats last term, helping them avoid relegation and reach the League Cup final, but Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers wants four strikers for next season to compete on all four fronts after the Reds qualified for the Champions League.
