Winger Liverpool were reportedly offered first-refusal for set for loan move to Portugal

Reported Liverpool target Cristian Tello will reportedly join FC Porto on loan next season.

Cristian Tello is set for a season-long loan at FC Porto according to the latest reports.

Portuguese newspaper O Jogo claims the Barcelona winger will move to the Primeira Liga this summer and that there is an option to make the deal permanent in due course.

Reports last month claimed Liverpool had been given first-refusal on both Tello and Pedro as Barcelona attempted to push through a move for Luis Suarez.

That came after the Reds were regularly linked with the 22-year-old left-winger, who has failed to become a first-team regular at the Nou Camp despite his undeniable talent.

Tello has scored 11 goals for the Catalan club but, at 22, it was thought he needed to move in order to get the regular football he deserved. Liverpool were tipped to be the club to offer just that – especially as they continued to be linked with a whole host of left-wingers in recent transfer windows.

However, it now seems Tello is off to Portugal, which may not be too disappointing for Liverpool fans if their club completes the mooted double-deal for Lazar Markovic and Divock Origi.
