You can read too much into a social media post. That is certain. But sometimes you have to question why a certain message or picture has been selected, and such is the case following Wilfried Zaha's Instagram offering on Thursday afternoon.
The Manchester United winger posted a picture of himself playing against his current side, back in the days when he was a Crystal Palace player.
The photo shows Zaha up against his now teammate Antonio Valencia, along with the message 'TBT...' which for those not clued up on Instagram-speak (which included me until I googled it) means Throwback Thursday.
Now of course Zaha could simply be reflecting on his time at Selhurst Park as the theme of the day suggested. But given that his future remains unclear, with Palace one of the sides reportedly interested in signing him from United if the opportunity arose, it is interesting that Zaha opted to pick a picture of him facing the side he would later join.
It is fair to say his time at United has not gone according to plan, and with reports the club may be willing to sell him for as little as £7 million, it will be interesting to see what the summer has in store and, more importantly, where he will be playing next season.
