A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United…
Manchester United continue to be linked with a whole host of Dutch players, with that rumour-mill regular Wesley Sneijder again linked with a possible move to Old Trafford.
The Galatasaray midfielder has a £16million release-clause and the Sun has taken that as reason enough to run a story about a possible move to United. Although in truth the club really does not need him given the presence of the likes of Juan Mata, Shinji Kagawa, Wayne Rooney and Adnan Januzaj.
The Wolfsburg defender was said to have been the subject of an official approach from Louis van Gaal’s side. But now the Times claims United are weighing him up as a possible replacement for Patrice Evra if the Frenchman completes his protracted switch to Juventus.
The report adds that while the Italian giants have offered £1.5million for Evra, United are holding out for £2million.
And finally, the London Evening Standard reports that Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado will not be rushed into a decision regarding his future. This despite the Old Trafford outfit reportedly hot on his heels – along with a host of other clubs it should be said.
United are in need of new wide-men and the Colombian fits the bill. But he will not come cheap…and he may not come at all.
