Tottenham fans react on twitter to Hugo Lloris signing a new contract

Spurs fans were understandably happy that Lloris has committed his immediate future to Tottenham.

Tottenham Hotspur secured one major deal on Thursday morning by announcing that goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has signed a new five-year contract at White Hart Lane. 

Lloris cited the ambition of the club and new Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino as one of the reasons he committed his future to the club, despite speculation during last season that clubs in the Champions League were interested in securing his services. 

But the French number one seems to be happy in North London, and evidently feels he can achieve his ambitions at Spurs.

Tottenham fans reacted on twitter to the news, and seemed very happy to have secured the future of the 27-year-old, who is amongst the highest rated goalkeepers in the Premier League. Though there is a degree of scepticism over if he will see out his contract if Tottenham don't make it into the Champions League next season.
